Boshiamy 嘸蝦米Developed in Taiwan by Liu Zhongci (劉重次)Uses 26 keys which makes it possible to map it to a conventional lay-out. It makes use of form, pronounciation and meaning, but still it consists of the composition of characters. Every character is inputed using 2,3 or 4 keystrokes. Based on shape: Characters are composted using shapes of Latin letters that are similar to the decomposted form.
Based on pronounciation: In the first table you can see that the pronounciation of the zhuyin system are mapped to there approximate pronounciation in English. In the second table you can see how this pronounciation is used to compose the characters.
Based on meaning: Characters can be composed using the the first letter of the English meaning of that word.
Difficult characters that apparently can't be inputed using for keystrokes are inputed using the first three and the last one : 聽 = 耳 (R) 王 (K) 十 (J) 心 (H) 歡 = 廿 (R) 口 (O) 口 (O) 欠 (I) Characters that can be inputed with less then 3 keystrokes are assigned an extra keystroke. This means that when a character can be inserted using one keystroke an extra is added, this is always the last stroke/radical. 月 = U + last stroke 一 (E) → UE 思 = 田 (Q) + 心 (H) + last stroke 、 (A) → QHA Some links: http://input.foruto.com/boshiamy (Chinese) [ < back ] - [ home ] |
